During her 11 years of working in luxury spas – onboard superyachts, prestige cruise liners and for leading establishments in New Zealand and Scotland – Kat has extensive spa and salon experience, as a practitioner, manager and consultant.
Given her expertise in delivering luxurious beauty therapy treatments, Kat understands what is involved in creating the ultimate spa experience. Kat’s knowledge is backed by numerous qualifications, so it’s no surprise Kat has progressed quickly from junior therapist to spa manager and spa consultant in a short 11-year period. During this time, Kat has worked onboard some of the most recognised superyachts in the industry.
Kat has led spa development projects, working directly with a high net worth individual who wanted a spa onboard their superyacht and at their private estate. For this, Kat applied her interpersonal and organizational skills to understand and respond to the owner’s specific requests. Kat’s success in leading such projects is testament to her professionalism and discretion – after all, a spa is a sanctuary.
As spa manager, Kat understands what it takes to meet aggressive sales targets and has a solid understanding of the operational side of running a luxury spa, both at sea and on land. Kat has managed staff, worked in business development to promote luxury spas and has been sponsored to train therapists in spa treatments and techniques.
Given her experience, commitment to customer service, positive attitude and desire to keep learning, Kat is an excellent teacher, guiding other therapists to create luxury spa experiences for owners and guests. LHG is fortunate to have Kat join as a specialist trainer.
